Building Hope Before the Holidays: A Community United for 800 Students

Today, our Executive Director, Rasheem Artis, met with the administration of Barack H. Obama Elementary Magnet School of Technology in Decatur alongside our valued community partners, Hope Enterprise and Gresham Park Christian Church. The purpose of this meeting was simple but powerful: to begin planning an initiative that will provide Christmas gifts for 800 students while connecting families to meaningful resources that extend far beyond the holiday season.

While the holidays are often filled with joy and celebration, many families face financial hardship, uncertainty, and barriers to accessing essential resources. A Christmas gift can brighten a child’s day, but lasting impact comes from building relationships, strengthening communities, and creating opportunities that support families throughout the year.
