This Valentine’s Day, We’re Choosing Our Elders

Valentine’s Day is often centered around romance, flowers, and dinners. But this year, at Survive and Conquer, we’re choosing to focus on a group that is too often forgotten — our elders living in nursing homes.

Many elderly individuals spend Valentine’s Day alone. No cards. No visitors. No reminders that they are still seen, valued, and loved. That doesn’t sit right with us.

So this February, we’re launching our Valentine’s Day Warmth & Worth Elder Care Bag Initiative — and we need our community to help us make it happen.

Our Goal: Serve 500 Elderly Individuals

Our goal is to start by providing 500 elderly residents with care bags that offer both practical warmth and emotional comfort. Each bag is intentionally designed to meet basic needs while also delivering something just as important: dignity and human connection.

$15 sponsors one elderly person.

One small act can make a meaningful difference in someone’s day.

What Will Be in the Elder Care Bags?

Each Warmth & Worth Care Bag will include:

  • Warm socks

  • A cozy blanket

  • Lip balm & lotion (gentle for aging skin)

  • Tissues

  • A Valentine’s card with an encouraging message

  • Small comfort items to remind them they are not forgotten

These items may seem simple, but for someone who receives very little, they are powerful.

How You Can Support

We can’t do this alone. Community is at the heart of everything we do.

You can help in a few ways:

  • Sponsor a care bag — $15 covers one elderly individual

  • Donate through our Amazon Gift Registry (items ship directly to us)

  • Purchase gift cards to help us fill in gaps and purchase items in bulk

  • Share this initiative with friends, family, churches, and workplaces

Every share, every donation, and every conversation helps us get closer to our goal of serving 500 elders.

Why This Matters

Our elders paved the way for us. They worked, sacrificed, raised families, and built communities — yet many are now living in isolation.

At Survive and Conquer, we believe love doesn’t stop with age, and community doesn’t forget its own.

This Valentine’s Day, we’re not just delivering bags.

We’re delivering love, warmth, and worth.

If you’ve ever wanted to make a real impact with a small action — this is it.

Thank you for standing with us, believing in our mission, and helping us show our elders that they are still seen and still loved.

With gratitude,

Survive and Conquer
