Finding Peace in Uncertain Times

Hey Survive and Conquer Family,

As we emerge from another election season, many of us are carrying a weight that’s hard to shake. The results have left me feeling a mix of emotions, especially as a Black man in America. In my city alone, I’ve already seen the impact of post-election tension—protests and even gunfire have pierced the air. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed and afraid, yet I’m reminded that through every difficult experience, I’ve always found healing and strength by finding safe, supportive outlets to release my stress. If you’re feeling the tension too, know that you’re not alone, and there are healthy ways to process it together.

It doesn’t help that Thanksgiving is right around the corner. For many of us, this time is usually filled with family warmth and togetherness. Yet, as we move through loss or cope with the absence of loved ones, the holiday season can become bittersweet. The empty seat at the table, the missing laughter—it can feel almost too much to bear on our own. But, even in the hardest times, I’ve found that having someone to talk to, someone I trust who allows me to vent without judgment, makes all the difference. Just hearing a friend say, “I’m here for you,” can be the anchor we need.

If you’re struggling this season, I want you to know that I’m here with you. The Survive and Conquer family is here to support you as you navigate these trying times. Whether it’s a friend, a family member, or a support group, don’t hesitate to lean on the people who uplift you. And if you’re reading this, remember that I am grateful for you and am wishing you and your loved ones peace and joy, even in the midst of pain.

In the next blog, I’ll dive deeper into why I created this space. I’ll share the tools I use daily to manage my own trauma and the intentionality behind this blog—to remind you that healing isn’t just possible; it’s achievable, and it’s a journey we’re on together.

Wishing you strength, peace, and comfort this holiday season—from my family to yours.

Warmly,

Rasheem
