Love in Action: A Valentine’s Day Warmth & Worth Giveback in College Park

This Valentine’s Day, love looked like service.

It looked like intention.

It looked like partnership.

It looked like community showing up — fully.

Our Warmth & Worth Valentine’s Day Giveback in College Park was more than an event. It was a movement of compassion centered around honoring our elders with dignity, care, and presence.

Honoring Legacy Through Service

Our focus this year was simple but powerful: serve our elders with warmth and worth.

Every bag was thoughtfully curated to ensure that those who received them felt valued — not overlooked. Essentials were paired with meaningful touches, because we believe dignity is in the details.

This wasn’t about handing something out.

It was about pouring something back in.

Celebrating Our First Official Partner: Onfiya Inc

This year marked a major milestone for us.

Onfiya Inc became our first official partner, and their support set a new standard for collaboration and impact.

They contributed 100 shoes, shirts, and additional goodies, helping us elevate the quality and reach of this initiative in a significant way. Their generosity didn’t just increase our capacity — it strengthened our mission.

We want to publicly congratulate Onfiya Inc on their continued growth and success. Watching a brand expand while remaining committed to community impact is inspiring. Partnerships like this are what true alignment looks like — purpose meeting action.

This is just the beginning, and we’re honored to build alongside them.

Morris Brown College: Showing Up in Excellence

The Morris Brown College Poetry Club didn’t just contribute — they showed up.

From providing handwritten poems and heartfelt notes to being present and hands-on during the event, their involvement added a layer of authenticity and intergenerational connection that cannot be replicated.

The students took time to craft words that spoke life, love, and encouragement into our elders. Those poems weren’t just inserts in a bag — they were bridges between generations.

And beyond the poetry, they stepped in wherever help was needed. That level of presence speaks volumes about the culture being cultivated at Morris Brown College.

When young leaders serve with humility and heart, it reminds us that the future is in good hands.

Community Powered Impact

We are also deeply grateful for:

  • Fastenal, our official sponsor, for contributing tech items and thoughtful additions that enhanced every bag distributed.

  • Food in the City, led by Mr. Jakeem Smith, for partnering with us again and continuing to serve the community with consistency and dedication.

  • Councilwoman Dr. Jamelle E. McKenzie for welcoming us to be a part of supporting College Park and creating space for collaboration and service.

And special appreciation goes to:

  • Mr. Jamal, Survive and Conquer Ambassador, for leading through service.

  • Shauna Marie, who sponsored through Fastenal and played a key role in making this possible.

More Than a Holiday — A Reminder

What stood out most wasn’t just the number of bags distributed.

It was the conversations.

The eye contact.

The gratitude exchanged.

Our elders were reminded that they are not forgotten. They are foundational.

This Valentine’s Day, we didn’t just talk about love.

We practiced it.

And when community, partnership, and purpose align — impact becomes inevitable.

We will continue to serve with warmth.

We will continue to lead with worth.

And we will continue conquering — together.
